CEVnet - ISCEVs mailing list server

CEVnet is ISCEVs discussion list server in which members can post questions, interesting cases or share information across others within the list server. This has been running for many years, and has been of great value to members worldwide.

  • 06/07/25: The School of Optometry & Vision Science at the University of Waterloo is seeking outstanding scholars and researchers for a full-time, regular tenure stream faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of mechanisms of retinal function and/or disease with electrophysiology experience in preclinical models with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to scholarship and teaching, and develop a robust, externally funded research program that supports graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.   • 2020-04 Vision Scientist, Boston Children’s Hospital. Ron Hansen, PhD (Experimental Psychology; vision sciences) retired recently after many years as my colleague at Boston Children’s Hospital. You work at the clinical-research interface and just might know of a candidate to fill Ron’s position. Our department is in the process of identifying a vision scientist who can fill Ron Hansen’s role. Ron’s time and effort was split 50:50 research and clinical care. He had an academic appointment. His main work was with our retina service that includes a mix of clinicians and researchers, but his collaborations extended well beyond the retina service.
